Cottonwood Tucson awarded the 2013 Copper Cactus Award for Best Place To Work

You may remember it was just one month ago we shared with our readers that Cottonwood Tucson was chosen as a finalist for the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Copper Cactus Award for Best Place To Work.

On September 27, 2013, more than 700 guests gathered at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona, to honor the region’s best small businesses.  Cottonwood Tucson received the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place To Work Award for a company with 76-250 employees.

A bit more about the Copper Cactus Awards…

The Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards presented by Wells Fargo celebrates the accomplishments and innovation of Southern Arizona’s small businesses. Hundreds of businesses are nominated and a panel of judges reviews all nominees and narrows the group down to 46 finalists. From those finalists the judges select the winners.

There were 11 businesses which were finalists for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place To Work Award and three businesses were chosen based on number of employees. The winners were 1 to 30 employees – BodyCentral Physical Therapy; 31 to 75 employees – Maximum Impact Physical Therapy; 76 to 250 employees – Cottonwood Tucson.

Honoring our Cottonwood Tucson staff

Again it is an honor to have been nominated as “the best place to work,” to be selected as a finalist in the Tucson Metro Chamber’s Copper Cactus Awards and to be chosen to receive the Best Place To Work Award; however, as always we know that it is every member of our staff who works to insure that Cottonwood Tucson is, as our career opportunities page offers for consideration, the best place to work.

Cottonwood Tucson, now in our 26th year, has a rich history made more remarkable by our staff.  A few years ago our Chairman of the Board Ron Welch reflected:

“COTTONWOOD TUCSON is a masterpiece in continual process and progress. Like the studio of an artist at work, our palette is filled with color, our paint brushes create master strokes and we view each client as a new canvas for our artists to work with. We are also particularly good at refurbishing and reworking pieces that are close to being finished but still need some touching-up. It is particularly amazing to me what new color, new outlining and new background can do to a work of art already in process.”
